The first number of the scientific publication The Herald of the National Academy of Talysh” released. This issue is a printing edition of the National Academy of Talysh.

The Herald of the National Academy of Talysh is the first international scientific publication dedicated to comprehensive study of Talysh. The working languages of The Herald are Talyshi, English and Russian. In the first number of Herald were published next works:

·         E. Yarshater (Columbia University, New-York) / The Taleshi of Asālem;

·         I. Abilov(The National Academy of Talysh) /  Historical and Cultural Heritage as the Problem of the Ethnic Self-Preservation (on the example of the Talysh);

·         G. Asatrian (Yerevan State University) / Who Were the Ancestors of the Talysh?;

·         A. Kirakosian (Yerevan State University) / Note on Azari-Talyshi Lexical Parallels;

·         I. Mirzalizade, I. Abilov (The National Academy of Talysh) / The Polish Scientists on Talysh and the Talysh people;

·         N. Abdoli (Payame Noor University, Rezvānsahr) / Rezvānšahr. Historical and Geographical Notes;

·         A. F. Nazarova (Institute of Ecology and Problems of Evolution, RAS, Moscow), A. A. Klyosov (World Academy of Art and Science, Washington - Stockholm) / Anthropogenetics and DNA Genealogy of Caucasus Populations in the View of Ancient Population Migrations;

·         H. Afrakhteh (Tarbiat-е Moalem University, Tehran) / Economic and Social Position Position and Vulnerability of Rural Women. Case: Foomanat Taleshian villagesin English;

·         E. Agayev (The National Academy of Talysh) / Works on Literature/Folklore in the Newspaper Sьə Tolьş;

·         E. Guliaeva (The Russian Museum of Ethnography, St. Petersburg) / Collection of Ethnography of the Talysh in the Russian Museum of Ethnography;

·         J. Abilov (The National Academy of Talysh) / Comments on the Poetics of the Talysh Mahne;

·         A. Bayrami(The National Academy of Talysh) / Samples of the Talysh Folklore (Mini-anthology) – in Talysh.

 

   Magazine was published in Minsk (Republic of Belarus), where situated mane office of The National Academy of Talysh. Igbal Abilov is editor-in-chief of The Herald of the National Academy of Talysh.

The National Academy of Talysh was created by the group of Talysh researchers with the view to surveying and studying the Talysh region in the socio-economic, historical, ethnographic, archaeological, literary and linguistic aspects, as well as disseminating the knowledge about it.

The structure of the National Academy of Talysh comprises two sections (the Talysh Academy of Sciences, and the Talysh Academy of Arts) and five agencies (Socio-economic, Historical and ethnographic, Language and literature, Folklore and songs, Editorial).

Elnur Agayev is the President of The National Academy of Talysh.
